International Symposium Held at the Graduate School of Environmental and Life Science, Okayama University

On January 24th, 2022, the Graduate School of Environmental and Life Science, Okayama University held the International Symposium on Environmental and Life Science.

This symposium is held every year for 25 doctor's course students who have been selected for the Research Grant for Encouragement of Students, the Graduate School of Environmental and Life Sciences for FY2021, and they gave flash talks (introduction of their research outline in a short time in English) on their adopted research topics. Afterward, Dr. Anom Bowolaksono from the University of Indonesia, who is an alumnus of the Graduate School, gave an invited speech on “The Role of Molecular Mechanisms Research in Reproduction for Sustainable Environment: An Indonesian Perspective” and it was a meaningful time for the presenting students.
As a result of the examination by Dr. Anom Bowolaksono and the academic research committee of the Graduate School, the Presentation Award was given to Mr. ANDO Ryosuke and Mr. NAGAO Masaaki of the Division of Environmental Science, and Mr. JING, Zihuan of the Division of Agricultural and Life Science.
This symposium was planned to be held face-to-face at Tsushima Campus at first. However, due to the spread of the COVID-19, it was held online using Zoom, with about 80 participants, including faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students.
