The region of Iskandar in Malaysia is under development to achieve a new industrial metropolitan city where 3 million people plan to live in 2025, at the same time, aiming for a representative of the advanced city with low carbon emission in Malaysia. In this study, alternative scenarios of solid waste management which can satisfy both reductions of waste treatment quantity and greenhouse gas emission are created and the effects are quantitatively evaluated.
